I'll eventually clarify more in the "About" section of this blog, but I suppose I should start out by introducing myself. I'm a 31 year old lady-woman in a large Northeastern city. I got knocked up by my husband of 3 years in July 2011 and was due with a baby girl April 3, 2012. She arrived February 2, 2012 (which is 9 weeks early for those that don't like to mix their math with their internets).
There are LOTS of pregnancy/baby/mommy blogs on the web. I read many of them multiple times a day. There are blogs for parents of preemies, too. I'm guess my contribution to this glut is my take on the usual "baby" experience once it has deviated from a typical path. I've needed lots of laughs in the past few months, and I hope I can help even one mom in a similar position feel better.
That being said, let me explain what I mean by the title of this post. I am most definitely NOT an MD. Even when I was a child, I never wanted to be a doctor and I do not claim to be one now. I'm not an RN nor a PhD. I'll just be writing from my experience. I'm an avid reader, and will frequently reference other people's research and findings. However, my daughter's early arrival meant I never even took the infant CPR course recommended by the hospital. Please take anything you read hear with a grain of salt and a heaping tablespoon of common sense.
